Netting the Evidence

Lists hundreds of websites and resources on the topic of evidence-based practice. Websites are arranged into eight categories, including library, searching, appraising, implementing, software, journals, databases, and organizations.

National Institute of Nursing Research

Supports and conducts clinical and basic research and research training on healthcare and illness across the lifespan.

American Nursing Informatics Association

Provides s networking, education and information resources that enrich and strengthen the roles of nurses in the field of informatics. The field of nursing informatics includes domains of clinical information, education and administration decision support.

Core Library for Evidence-based Practice

This Virtual Library has been put together by assembling links to full text documents on all aspects of Evidence Based Practice

ECRI Institute

An indepentant agency, the Institute brings the discipline of applied scientific research to discover which medical procedures, devices, drugs, and processes are best, enabling clincians to improve patient care.  As pioneers in this science, they have the unique ability to marry practical experience and uncompromising independence with the thoroughness and objectivity of evidence-based research. 

They are one of only a handful of organizations designated as both a Collaborating Center of the World Health Organization and an Evidence-Based Practice Center by the U.S. Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.

 

Academic Center for Evidence-based Practice

The center of excellence for The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. The purpose of this Center is to advance cutting edge, state-of-the-art evidence-based practice, research, and education within an interdisciplinary context.
